THE PAIN NEUROSCIENCE COURSE



This course is a deep dive into the fascinating world of pain neuroscience. You will develop a greater understanding of what pain is and the numerous factors that can influence a pain experience.

This course will provide you with the an understanding of fundamental neuroanatomy and how our nervous system interacts and responds to different stimuli.

We will dive into pain mechanisms, modulation of pain including peripheral sensitisation, central sensitisation, and neuropathic pain.

We look at pain through a biopsychosocial lens with a contemporary view of pain science.

This course will help you to further differentiate and classify different pain states that will help you to more effectively manage both acute and chronic pain presentations.
